My name Is Eduardo de Azevedo Grillo and I’m an artist.
I was born and raised in the south of Brazil. With instruments and music around all the time, I always felt very connected to music and sounds.
During my childhood and teenage I tried several different sports such as soccer, tennis, basketball, and running, but for some reason never felt too connected to none of those. I always had in my head that I would go to college to become an engineer, so I could have money and live a very planned life.
Well, I obviously didn’t.
I started to dance and circus at the age of 15 and 16, on those I fell in love with the idea of pushing my body to physical and artistic extremes. the idea of being able to express myself using my body seemed like a new world to discover.
For me, the only reason for life is to create relationships, with people, things, and experiences. Whenever I’m performing I feel the most vulnerable and the most open to connecting with other people, feels powerful and terrifying at the same time.
Currently, I study at the national circus school in Montreal where I’m specializing in aerial straps. I’ve been able to learn not only a lot of techniques and also learn about very different cultures and ways to see the world.
